Time taking by Emma :

= 28 minutes 15 seconds

Time taking by David :

David is 4 minutes and 15 seconds faster than Emma.

Solution :

Distance covered = 1 mile

= 480 + 30

= 510 seconds

1 hour = 60 minutes, 1 minute = 60 seconds.

1 hour = 3600 seconds

= 1/3600 miles per hour

Problem 15 :

Lisa wants to complete a 30 - day fitness challenge. If she exercises for 40 minutes each day, how many hours will she spend exercising in total ?

Solution :

Each day he is taking 40 minutes.

In 30 days, he is taking = 40 x 30

= 1200 minutes

= 20 hours.
